Concord – For state Rep. Cory Atkins, the two big words for 2009 will be change and challenge.
Fitting choices for a state representative who over the past year has witnessed a junior senator from Illinois named Barack Obama elected to the White House on a platform of change and seen a down economy present challenges for cities and towns across the country.

Concord – The Concord Inaugural Ball has been cancelled.
It’s not that state Rep. Cory Atkins, D-Concord, is not going to celebrate the inauguration of Barack Obama as the nation’s 44th president. It’s just that she’s going to do it a little differently than how she first planned.

Jennifer Benson, a Lunenburg Democrat who was elected to succeed Eldridge in the House, and state Rep. Cory Atkins, D-Concord, also attended the forum.
